Privacy Policy

When you book a consultation or a session, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the student's grade and course, what they're working on, your chosen time, and any homework file you choose to attach.

If you create an account, we store your login email and your booking history. We don't collect anything you don't enter yourself.

Only to run the tutoring: to confirm and schedule sessions, prepare for them, send reminders and receipts, and reply to you. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Online payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We only see that a payment was made and its amount.

Booking confirmations and reminders are sent by email. If you opt in to text reminders, we use your phone number only for those, and you can opt out at any time by telling us.

To run the site we use a small number of trusted providers, who handle information only on our behalf:

• Vercel (website hosting)
• Supabase (secure storage of bookings, accounts and homework files)
• Stripe (card payments)
• Resend (sending email)
• Google Analytics (anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed)
• Google Workspace (email, and the tutor's calendar, which we check for busy times so we never double-book)

Some of these providers may store data outside Canada.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and, through Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though you may need to sign in again.

We keep booking records for as long as you work with us and as long as needed for our records and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless we're required to keep it.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you or your student. We handle personal information in keeping with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.
